The transfer of product from the weigher to the packaging machine has always been a bit of a mystery. Surrounded by stainless steel funnels and tubes, it’s been impossible to truly understand how product charges behave in the transition zone.
Yamato has pioneered the use of ultra high speed video to analyze scale and bagger geometries in order to optimize the entire system’s speed and efficiency.
Our video system, combined with our stock of clear bagger forming tube assemblies, allows our factory engineers to work with customers’ engineers to analyze a variety of alternatives in bagger funnel and transition funnel configurations to provide the best possible transfer of product leaving the scale and entering the bagger.
In our ongoing effort of using Yamato technology to enhance a bagger’s performance, our video system also allows the packaging machinery engineers to view and analyze high speed bagger functions in super-slow motion in order to optimize programs and settings to achieve optimal output.
Our secure test center, which offers complete confidentiality of product and bagger testing, also includes a simulated bag machine test fixture that allows testing using the actual bagger forming tube assembly.
With a wide variety of Yamato weighers in stock and flexible scale stands to fit a range of configurations, we can also test using the exact bagger and product for the most accurate representation of the production environment. And, the video and test results are recorded for further analysis by the packaging machine supplier and end user.
