Advanced load Cell technology
Yamato is recognized worldwide as a leader in the science and application of load cells. Yamato’s proprietary alloys, manufacturing processes, quality control, and software result in an extremely accurate and stable load cell that requires no complicated mechanisms to account for load cell drift.
AFC automatically changes the amplitude of the linear feeders to account for product flow changes.
This feature does two things:
• Shuts down all the functions of a head when there is an error while the rest of the scale continues to run
• The weigh bucket can be lifted off the bucket bracket allowing Clean-on-the-Fly and error recovery without stopping the scale
Using internal parameters, Auto Program allows an operator to simply enter target weight and speed to create a completely new program for an application.
All Yamato weighers use a programmable and recallable Auto Zero routine. Based on product and environment conditions, at a pre-set time a weigh bucket will not be refilled and the new empty weight will become the new “zero”. This addresses accuracy concerns based on build up of product or fines in the weigh bucket.
Certain Yamato weighers have the optional capability to weigh multiple products. Those Yamato weighers have flexible gates and fully adjustable software to easily change the number of heads assigned to each component. And, priority can be set for each component with compensation between the components so that both optimal individual and total package weight is achieved. Staggered Dump allows complete control of component distribution within the package, all the way from a homogeneous mix to layered.
For those packages that are sold by piece count and weight, all Yamato weighers use optional Counting Software to select a combination that is both the correct count and, at the same time, the lowest weight. The software also tracks average piece weight changes and makes internal calculation changes to optimize the accuracy and efficiency of the weigher.
On Sigma, Sigma Compact, and Frontier weighers DC vibrators are used. This:
• Tunes the vibrators by adjusting the frequency on the AICC-SE touchscreen
• Eliminates the need to replace spring sets and adjust air gaps Intuitive graphics
All Yamato weighers use highly intuitive graphics for both auto and manual operation. This allows for faster training, easier operation and troubleshooting.
For package weights outside the range of the weigher, all Yamato scales have the ability to discharge multiple weighments while calculating the total amount discharged. For the last discharge which brings the package to the total weight, the scale automatically switches to combination mode to achieve the best accuracy.
Multiple Motor Patterns
All Yamato weighers use five programmable and storable motor patterns to control bucket open-close profiles; letting the user perfectly tailor the motor pattern to fit the product and application.
No Select Detect
Especially useful for frozen or other highly perishable products, No Select Detect monitors how often a bucket is used in a combination. If a bucket hasn’t been chosen in a programmable number of cycles, the bucket will be “forced” into a combination to prevent thawing and sticking.
All Yamato weighers have optional Priority Head software that allows for the selection of a particular head every cycle. This is used when feeding additional components, product accessories, or premiums into the package. An external feeder is required.
Single, Double, and triple Shift Indication
On Yamato Sigma, Sigma Compact, and Frontier weighers the AICC-SE displays the shift indicator directly on the Automatic Operation screen making it easier for operators to see.
For those applications where there is a high propensity for bridging at the transfer from the weigher to the packaging machine, all Yamato weighers use a programmable Staggered Dump system.
300 Product Programs
Yamato Sigma, Sigma Compact, and Frontier weighers can store up to 300 programs for different products, target weights, and other parameters. This number allows users to have different programs for the same application to account for seasonal differences in product or packing room environment.
Weight Selection Protocol
Yamato weighers use four different weight selection protocols:
• No Underweights – the controller will not select a combination under the target weight
• Tolerable Negative Error – the controller can select an underweight based on strict statistical parameters
• New Averaging System – the controller can select underweights based on paramaters that also include the number of underweights chosen in sequences
• Maximum Allowable Variance – the controller can select underweights base on USA Bureau of Standards regulations
